- well, gee....
-
- I called the 800 number as soon as I heard about the Distinctive Ring
- feature, and found it not available on the BBS or website. I was on
- hold for 15 minutes at their expence, got a tech support type who said
- he would upload it to me, so I gave him my number, ordered the
- hardware upgrade for CID (payed by credit card), hung up, set up
- Bitcom host mode just in time for the phone to ring and voilla.... I
- had the upgrade.... 20 minutes.... not bad, really....
-
- sent in the modem for the upgrade, after procuring a "standby" modem
- to use during the (gulp) 2-4 weeks turnaround.... got it back 6 days
- later....
-
- consider me happy....
